About Dr Emma Bradshaw
I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist registered with the HCPC. I am also an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society.
I completed my doctorate at Teesside University and am trained to use Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). I offer supervision to Clinical and Counselling Psychologists.
I use an integrative relational approach to therapy recognising the importance of the therapeutic relationship. I work alongside individuals to help them to understand their difficulties and make the changes they want to improve their quality of life.
I am interested in the relationship between the mind and body and worked within the NHS for over two years with those experiencing chronic pain. I have also helped people manage alcohol dependence both individually and in groups.
