About Jo Bond
I have worked in Mental Health for over thirty years in Primary and Secondary care services. Ten years of this was spent working as part of an Early Intervention in Psychosis team with young people and their families.
I have been involved with The Retreat as has my family for many years and I am delighted to be working at The Tuke Centre, not just because of the calmness on entering the building but also the beautiful surroundings and history. I value and respect the Quaker principles.
I am a Registered Mental Health Nurse and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist accredited by the BABCP.
I am passionate about CBT as it is a collaborative and empowering model of working with individuals. I incorporate aspects of Compassion Focused Therapy and Mindfulness into my approach.
It is a honour to work with people so closely and help people become their own therapists and I feel very lucky to do a job that I love.
