About Dr Thomas Elanjithara
I have out-patient clinics at the Tuke Centre, offering assessments and treatment for a range of psychological difficulties. My areas of clinical and academic interests are mood disorders, psychological trauma, anxiety disorders, ADHD, addictions and organic brain dysfunctions. I also provide expert witness reports on a range of matters for the courts and tribunals.
I’m a holistic practitioner, striving to find the optimal balance of pharmacological and psychological treatments tailored to each individual. I work with GPs and therapists to provide seamless person centred care packages.
Having completed my post-graduate Psychiatry training through Guys and St Thomas’ training programme in London, I continued my higher speciality training in psychiatry at The Barts and London training programme. Previously, I worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist in NHS. I also work in a brain injury rehabilitation unit, situated in the grounds of The Retreat
I am particularly encouraged by The Retreat’s values and ethos and its ethical and collaborative approach to promote mental health.
